Office Workers Communication

English Speaking Club: “American Work”

Webinar •

Using English at work is about more than choosing the right words and building grammatically correct sentences. It also means understanding what’s between the words: professional etiquette, workplace culture, and the context behind everyday communication.

Join our next Conversation Club with Anelly Arana, an educator from Florida, for a practical discussion about American workplace culture and the English used in everyday professional settings.

We’ll explore how Americans communicate with colleagues, give and receive feedback, discuss deadlines, manage priorities, and navigate common workplace situations.

What we’ll cover:

✦ Workplace Communication Learn how to communicate with colleagues and supervisors, make requests, ask questions, and discuss tasks clearly and professionally.

✦ Giving & Receiving Feedback Explore how constructive feedback is typically handled in American workplaces and practice useful phrases for giving and responding to feedback.

✦ Deadlines & Priorities Practice talking about deadlines, setting priorities, clarifying expectations, and communicating when something is delayed.

✦ Time Management Build useful vocabulary for planning your workday, organizing tasks, scheduling meetings, and managing your time.

✦ English for the Workplace Learn common phrases and expressions you’re likely to hear in an American workplace and can use in real professional conversations.

This will be an interactive session, so we won’t just talk about American workplace culture. You’ll also have a chance to practice useful expressions and communication strategies in conversation.
